The slightly different map

The court jester Fröhlich, once the “Royal Elector’s court conjurer,” is a guest in the Görnische Gasse.

Joseph Fröhlich shows the way from left to right of the Elbe: for example from the porcelain factory over Görnische Gasse, to Tuchmachertor along the Frauenkirche, to Heinrichsplatz or past the famous porcelain cassowary over the Elbe to Ohm'schen Villa.

Lingering islands

This "outdoor gallery" shows works by artists based here and lines the porcelain path that connects the Meissen factory with the old town.

Thanks to the greenery and the opportunity to linger, you can enjoy the alley step by step.

Fortunately, the valuable building structure on this street was preserved over the centuries, regardless of whether it was a devastating city fire or the GDR era, which was poor in building materials. Parts of this street were even threatened with demolition and were fortunately prevented by the turnaround.

The pocket park

What could be more inviting than a traditional living room, a well-kept wall, an inviting seating area,

a green carpet. The sculpture of a sofa conveys the bourgeois living culture and calm as a “quote”. The visitor is thereby animated and should get involved in this interplay of these elements of the living landscape.
